Turns out the root password is old by two password changes, so perhaps the wrong image was used ? Please check and reimage with the latest snapshot.

I don't think this machine got the right image -- it claims that it's talos-r3-fed-ref and running a 32-bit kernel. It needs to have the 64-bit ref image, please.

so what is the latest official image? there's a list images to choose from.

there's:

talos-r3-fed64-ref-20120605 (wouldn't completely boot after several attempts at imaging)
talos-r3-fed64-ref-01302012 (I was able to get this image to work so I stuck with it)
talos-r3-fed64-v6 (has a date from 2010)

The one with the latest date is the official one we should be using. I suspect that would be talos-r3-fed64-ref-20120605.

Van, are you sure you didn't accidentally use talos-r3-fed-ref (which would explain the wrong OS)?

Thanks Amy, reimaged with talos-r3-fed64-ref-20120605.

I don't think I reimaged it last time but there is a list of about 10+ images so it could be kinda confusing. I wanted to confirm so we can square this away.
Looks good now, thanks!
