using build #2001043004 I've attempted to remove and create a new POP account for Yahoo Mail but no help. Cannot retrive mail. It looks like it's attempting to since the status bar on the bottoms states 'retrieving 1 of 105'. But nothing happens. Instead I get the following sequence of windows: 1. error window "unknown error 80004005" 2. request for password to the POP server (which I've already typed in prior and told to remember) 3. error window "The PASS command did not succeed. The mail server responded: maildrop busy" 4. error window "The USER command did not succeed. The mamil server responded: command valid only in authorization state."
It looks like your maildrop is busy doing something. Please shutdown and try again after sometime, may be after 1/2 hr.
sorry. what does that mean when the 'maildrop is busy'? Do you mean the problem is on the Yahoo side? I've been having this problem for several days now.
That means the server is not able to process the client requests. Please contact your yahoo server administrator.
