STR:
1) Start a fresh profile.
2) Open http://www.lemonde.fr/proche-orient/portfolio/2012/09/08/a-alep-un-nouveau-bombardement-meurtrier-de-l-aviation-gouvernementale_1757609_3218.html
3) Click on the right or left arrow to change the current picture on the slideshow

Result:
During the picture transition, the slideshow flickers. Fading out should be smooth.

NB: Notice the website is loading in loop "live.lmde.fr", another issue appearing in the same time as the slideshow issue.

Kyle, have you been able to reproduce this?  How widely affecting is this bug? Is there anything about lemonde.fr that is unique in causing this effect?  Trying to gauge if we should be tracking this and bug 789846.
I see the flicker intermittently.  I haven't dug in much here; I've spent more time investigating bug 789846.
Loic, was this fixed by Bug 791731?

Yes, it seems to be fixed. I tried 2 portofolios on lemonde.fr and I don't see the slideshow flickering when I'm clicking on the next picture.
