This is the placeholder for our regularly scheduled October Firefox & You email. Design process will overlap with the design process for the October 1-off email, so I want to get this on your radar ASAP. Design starts October 2 Final design due October 12 Thanks. I'll update the bug when the outline is complete on the 2nd!
Thanks Carmen. Just to clarify though, is there another design bug associated with Oct newsletter? or is this the design bug for the 1-off that you mentioned? I just want to make sure I understand the needs, and the two bugs that relate to this timeframe (and if they are related in content/design). Thanks.
Hey Tara - no problem. There's a lot coming on the email train in Q4! This bug is for the regular monthly newsletter design for October, and is the only bug for that newsletter. However, there is a bug for the 1-off mobile email design, which is bug 790020. The two emails are unrelated, however, the work on both (for copy and design) will overlap due to scheduling, and I want to make it as easy as possible to help you guys know what's coming and when. (November and December will see the same issue, with 1-offs and our regular monthly email colliding with each other and with holidays.) Would you like to get on a quick call and discuss? I'm happy to set that up for us, but I don't want to add another call to your schedule if it's redundant. It helped to walk John and Jane through what was coming in Q4 - we're going to have quite the balancing act in the next few months. :)
Thanks Carmen. No need for a call, but thank you foe the clarification. So, this bug is plugging in graphic assets as we've done before into the existing template, right? I'll wait for more direction before assigning.

Getting this in a day early. :) We need some graphics for the October newsletter, please, final due Oct. 12 as follows: *Note, for the feature stories, please do not include a border on the image. For themes and add-ons, include a border. Intro image: NEW IMAGE CREATION REQUESTED: Would prefer to use one of our monster graphics. I know we’re phasing them out, but they fit so well with our “Scary things/Halloween”) theme. If not, can a designer create a new graphic? Our fall-back, if we can’t use those would be the: 125x125 Firefox Logo (we have this from last month. No need to redo) Feature 1: NEW IMAGE CREATION REQUESTED: 125x125 graphic needed. This feature 5 security settings in Firefox. We’ve used up all of our “security” images in last month’s email. Can someone create a new security icon for this story? Perhaps an open padlock? Feature 2: 125x125 graphic needed. Do Not Track feature. I have a small version of the Do Not Track eyeball - can we have a 125x125 of that? (Attached.) Feature 3: 125x125 Password Dos and Don’ts. We’ll reuse image from last month’s email. Feature 4: 350x200 graphic needed. Need a video screen grab from this video https://firefoxflicks.mozilla.org/en-US/video/329 with a play button. Save them to Evernote to read anywhere. Public Fox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/public-fox Block downloads, lock down bookmarks/addons/downloads with a password. For the Pick of the month add on, we need one image with the featured button, and one image without.

We'd like to have something to go with our "scary"/"Halloween" theme for October. The monsters were perfect, but if not the monsters, is there something your team could create for us? If not, the default is the logo, but was hoping for something more. :)
Rhonda - since you'll be out for a week, would you like to upload what you already have without the main/monster image? That way, if we don't get a new image, we'll use the logo. It would help to have everything else. :) Have a great vacation!
Carmen, I believe Monique is doing an illustration for halloween snippets, perhaps we can use that or have her create a version that is good for this block? I'm not sure if the timing will work out, but I've cc-ed her here.

Image sizes are perfect. The only image that looks funny is the new lock image - it doesn't quite match the other images in the newsletter and past newsletters. Carmen - can you help advise?
Tara - with Rhonda out - and this due Friday - can you maybe get us another resource to redo that lock image. It doesn't seem to match the style of our other icons?
I can do but can I get more examples of other icons to match it to? I need this before I can work on it. Thanks, Monique
