User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_8_1) AppleWebKit/537.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/21.0.1180.89 Safari/537.1 Steps to reproduce: I have 9 mail accounts configured in Thunderbird. From time to time one of them appears to get 'stuck' and will no longer receive new mail. There is no error, it appears that "Get all new Messages" and "Check for new messages every 10 minutes" will simply ignore that account. All other accounts work as expected. Only when I manually select that account to be checked for new mail (via the dropdown from the toolbar) all new messages will be downloaded. Possibly of interest: it's not always the same account; I keep Thunderbird running for months, only restarting for updates; OS is Windows 7 and now 8. Actual results: No messages were received. Expected results: Messages should have been received.
Summary: "Get all new Messages" does not get all new messages → "Get all new Messages" and "Check for new messages every 10 minutes" sometimes stops working
cz01, do you still see this in version 17?

Yes, unfortunately it's still there. I noticed that the account with the problem will not show up in the Activity Manager if I tell Thunderbird to get all mail. (I have all accounts configured as POP3 and they are set to leave mail on the server for 10 days)

cz01, sorry to ask again - does this happen in a current version, for example version 31?
