I'm seeking read-only access so I can locally run BIRT reporting against Moztraps production database (Bug 786813 comment 3)

Matt, Can you provide some context around what you are trying to accomplish?

Joes, of course - Moztrap is the testcase management system that allows QA to manage and run testcases. At this time it does not have the ability to report results (passes, failures, etc). This is a feature that hasn't been flushed out and for the time being we don't have development resources to build. We're planning on using Birt (http://www.eclipse.org/birt/phoenix/) as the tool to generate the reports that we need. To connect Birt to the database I was going to use the jdbc driver (jdbc:mysql://[host][,failoverhost...][:port]/[database]). I'm seeking a read-only account for the db as well as the remote access to the db.
After discussion, we would allow this via the MPT-vpn. This means that: - you need MPT VPN access - you need the IP of the SQL server that hosts the Moztrap database - you need a read-only user account for the specific tables and/or dbs (if the access involves more than testcases, please run the ACLs by us first) In the future we will migrate the MPT VPN access to a newer VPN, at which point you will be contacted to change the VPN configuration.
