Go to Edit->Preferences. under "Privacy & Security -> Images", make sure that "Accept all images" is selected. Also, under "Advanced -> Scripts & Plugins", make sure that "Enable JavaScript for" "Browser" is checked and make sure that, under "Allow scripts to:", a checkmark is included next to "Change images". Under "Privacy & Security -> Images", make sure that "Accept all images" is selected.

Thank you, these have always been set as you recommend, yet the bug occurs

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:18.0) Gecko/18.0 Firefox/18.0 SeaMonkey/2.15a1 ID:20120912003008 c-c:cebc1b16ac6b m-c:6e78c3efd115 I confirm the problem, which started happening no more than a week or two ago without me changing any preferences AFAICR. Under "Allow scripts to:", not only all checkboxes are unticked, but clicking any of them does not change it to √, it *remains* unticked whatever I do. And yet the top checkbox is on: Enable Javascript for [√] Browser. On Facebook, I don't watch albums the way the OP does, but I don't see the avatars under "Chat" in the left margin of my newsfeed, and yet I still see the green dots on the active ones and the tooltips at mouseover. On Google Groups, I don't see the yellow bars and right-pointing triangles on the left side of the "Thread" sidebar when reading a thread.

I suspect this bugs belongs in Core. Can anyone reproduce it with Firefox?

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:18.0) Gecko/18.0 Firefox/18.0 http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/6e78c3efd115 I don't see this bug in Firefox. Maybe an extension conflict? Let's see what happens when I disable Adblock Plus...
I confirm that in Firefox the photo appears OK, in Seamonkey there is an empty box

...No change. Then after "Help → Restart with Add-ons Disabled"...
This photo is the one I'm talking about (but there are lots of others doing the same) http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=331861203576719&set=a.206378742791633.46828.114564555306386&type=1&theater

I don't want to flood here, but there are images that displayed OK a moment ago and are empty now. It's very strange. This is one of them: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151148990817048&set=a.10150349770587048.372811.308921667047&type=1&theater

This is what I see (in my newsfeed), and I see it consistently. Notice these green dots on the left side? There should be avatars there, of my friends who are or recently were on Chat, but each avatar is left blank. The green dots show which ones are currently on Chat, and when I hover the mouse there it tells me whose picture ought to be displayed where. Hm. I see a lot of Error Console "warnings" (but no "Errors"), most for domain s-static.ak.fbcdn.net (which I think is a Facebook site), then bugzilla.mozilla.org and www.facebook.com, anything else are few and far between.

Tony, try setting "general.useragent.override" to:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:18.0) Gecko/18.0 Firefox/18.0

No luck, not even after Ctrl+Shift+R on Facebook. Restarting SeaMonkey doesn't work, because general.useragent.override is forcibly reset at every startup (I can't find back the FIXED bug which made it so); and AFAICT Mozilla (unlike Konqueror) doesn't provide for site-specific masquerading (and neither does User Agent Switcher, which works, but goes back to "Defaut User Agent" at every restart).

(In reply to Tony Mechelynck [:tonymec] from comment #17) [...] > Restarting SeaMonkey doesn't work, because general.useragent.override is > forcibly reset at every startup (I can't find back the FIXED bug which made > it so) Ah, there: I think it's bug 581008. Let's try setting general.useragent.override in user.js...

...No luck either, and this time it does start as "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:18.0) Gecko/18.0 Firefox/18.0" which is displayed (among others) on the about: page which is part of my restart session.

I see this also on Google Maps and on viamichelin.fr (after specifying a map location) — on SeaMonkey the accessory icons are displayed, but not the map itself.

FWIW: I'm using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0 SeaMonkey/2.17a1 And I don't see any problems with Google Maps.

P.S. Google Maps displays; but it reacts extremely slowly if at all when I click any of its widgets, or drag the map. Firefox is OK.

I solved the problem by using my backup hard drive to get an uncorrupted version of SaeMonkey. I hope it stays uncorrupted. I turned off automatic update for SeaMonkey. A solution for me, but not for everyone.

P.S. 1. No problem with the following builds of Firefox: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:22.0) Gecko/20130222 Firefox/22.0 ID:20130222031138 CSet: 67f2a2816651 (22.0a1) Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:17.0) Gecko/20130222 Firefox/17.0 ID:20130222034500 CSet: 7c616543869d (17.0.3esrpre) P.S. 2. No maps on the Flemish T&B site, remove it in comment #27.

P.P.S. Maps do exist for "walking" parts (wandelroute) of the tram/bus trip, but SeaMonkey shows them, unlike those for viamichelin and sncb (where widgets are shown but not the underlying map).

NOT reproducible with unzipped installer of unofficial (by wg9s) De SeaMonkey 2.53.4beta 1 pre Mozilla/5.0 (NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0 Build 20200529210001(Default Classic Theme, newly created User Profile) on German WIN7 64bit and http://reisinfo.delijn.be/reisinfo/?taal=nl
I planned a route from Hamburgpad, Leuven to Hamburgstraat 1, Antwerpen, clicked on station "Halte Antwerpen", Page opened and showed map at the right.
Fixed? Page changed?
