Details

From the J-PAKE pairing screen, clicking "Advanced setup..." allows you to bring up a keyboard. Returning to the J-PAKE screen by canceling keeps the keyboard on the screen.
liuche: pull URL needed. I reviewed this on github and saw no response back. Land this if it's ready.

STR:

(without hardware keyboard attached, of course)
1. Launch Sync setup (without an existing Sync account).
2. Click "Advanced setup..." and bring up keyboard by clicking a text-entry box.
3. Either "Cancel" or hit back to return to J-PAKE screen.
4. J-PAKE screen should hide keyboard.

All other setup behavior should behave a usual (e.g., Pair a device)
