Reload after Undo Close for POST'd content results in GET

(Core :: DOM: Core & HTML, defect, P5)

15 Branch

(Reporter: eric, Unassigned)

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0.1
Build ID: 20120907231657

Steps to reproduce:

1). Go to some page which required you to post content to the URL such that when you hit reload, Firefox would say, "Do you really want to repost this?"
2). Close the tab
3). Undo the Close Tab
4). Hit reload

Actual results:

The page reloaded as a GET, not a POST

Expected results:

The page should have asked if I really wanted to repost this and did the POST workflow.
Eric, could you please provide the URL you are having this issue on?
Component: Untriaged → DOM: Core & HTML
Product: Firefox → Core
Apologies for not including one earlier -- I found this on my intranet. Here's an example URL:

1). Select a small text file and submit the file.
2). Press F5 on the page and it will ask you to confirm that you want to repost. Close that dialog however you'd prefer.
3). Close the tab.
4). Re-open the tab.
5). Press F5 and it will do a GET against that resource.
Wildly, could this be related to bug 190168?
