I am interested in having a working document which outlines the special powers api. Document which explains each api call, and provides an example. The goal here is as we add more community members we want to have a clear way for people to get up to speed on writing / running mochitests.
Another element in this piece is that different API elements may be exposed in mobile that are not exposed / relevant on desktop / fennec. Making sure we clearly document what is relevant on which platforms.

There is this documentation here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/SpecialPowers It might be out of date, because things keep changing with the special powers api. Note for instance, bug 792036 and bug 792083, which will change the special powers api. Probably best to look here if you want to be kept up to date: http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/source/testing/mochitest/tests/SimpleTest/specialpowersAPI.js As a sidenote, I have the special powers extension here for testing directly inside the browser: http://people.mozilla.org/~mwargers/extensions/specialpowers/specialpowers.xpi
