Build ID: 20120924030626

Steps to reproduce:

Just update nightly with the "About Nightly" button

Actual results:

The search text box within a page at the bottom left just disappears.

Expected results:

The search text box within a page at the bottom left as is. Every thing else stays the same.

Note: this is not a major bug, just let you know. But if you have a complex string you may have to retype it.
Severity: normal → minor
Please provide more detailed steps to reproduce along with a URL to a testcase.
Component: Untriaged → Layout: Form Controls
Product: Firefox → Core
A testcase:

(1) open a page, say http://www.guardian.co.uk/

(2) control-f, the search box appears at the bottom left, you are looking for the word "money"

(3) apply the daily (usually) update with [help] -> [about nightly]
of course an update must be available.

(4) result: the search box is not there anymore.

Note: not a big deal, but the update should everything as is.
Thanks for the steps, I can now see this bug. Note that it also does not restore from a regular restart of the browser. I'm guessing this is behaviour as designed. Moving to Session Restore component and I'll let the developer comment as to the validity.
