User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0.1 Build ID: 20120905151427 Steps to reproduce: Start typing a contact name or surname that includes an accentuated character (requires to type a "tilde" key ´`ˆ¨ and next a letter key, and the accentuated character appears: áéèü, etc.). Actual results: As soon as the "tilde" key is pressed, the first contact in the suggestion drop-down list is selected, and the tilde character is typed: - Start typing M-a-r (intending to type María to find María Llamas). - The drop-down list starts showing suggestions: María Campos, María Llamas, Mario Gómez, etc. - Type the tilde key "´". - Immediately (I do not type the "i" key), the contact field is filled with the first suggestion, with a trailing "´": María Campos <mariacamp@gmail.com>´ Expected results: It should ignore the tilde key and allow to continue typing: M-a-r-í-a etc.

Wfm on WinXP/TB24. STR 1) have this contact in AB email: asdf@asdf.com Display Name: fooébar (e with accent) 2) In recipient field of new msg, type: 2a) "foo", then press ´ key 2b) press "e" key to create accented letter Actual = expected 2a) after only pressing the accent key, the accent is not seen and so autocomplete results don't change yet (correct). 2b) afer completing the accented character (é), autcomplete matches search string with accented character (correct).
