User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0.1
Build ID: 20120905151427
Steps to reproduce:
I'm writing a reply to a message and want to paste quoted two sentences form original message to my reply. So I copy two sentences from original message and used Ctrl+Shift+O keyboard shortcut or same command in local menu.
PS: Both Ctrl+V (Paste) and Ctrl+****+V (Paste without formating) work for me but Ctrl+Shift+O.
Actual results:
Nothing.
Expected results:
It should paste two sentences in the clipboard as quoted text.

Does this happens if you restart Thunderbird in -safe mode (eg Help -> restart with addon disabled )?
Ludovic, If it is helpful I can provide a link to video demonstrating the issue.

Don't know. But it seems to work now for you and me, so lets resolve this bug for the time being. If it resurfaces, feel free to reopen with detailed reproducible steps/testcase. Thanks for your attention.

No. It's still doesn't work. I can reproduce it in TB 31 (in safe mode and in normal mode as well). Steps to reproduce:
1. Put the attached Draft file to you profile.
2. Start TB.
3. Open the draft.
4. Select following two lines: Sentence 3 and Sentence 4
5. Copy to clipboard.
6. Move cursor between Sentence 1 and Sentence 2.
7. Paste quoted (Ctrl+Shift+O) -> It does nothing.

I have had this problem for years (Current version 38.3.0).
I have now fixed it by modifying the mail.reply_quote_inline config parameter to true.
Is this the correct solution? Works for me.

This consistently fails for me.
copy the text as described either from a message display or in a message created with edit as new.
open compose window in HTML mode.
ctrl+V works
ctrl+shift+O fails
open compose windows in plain text
ctrl+shift+O works
