Attached image sample of textbox bug
Additional text is entered when editing a Google search query, on the mobile search webpage.

This makes editing a search query unfeasible.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Do a search in the search/url bar
2. Tap on the search text input, hold to put edit location somewhere in the middle of the search query
3. Start typing

Expected outcome:

Typing should strictly add the typed letters at the expected place

Observed outcome:

Typing adds extra letters from the existing search query itself, duplicating words. Backspace adds additional letters

Olivier, what Android device and keyboard are you using? On my Galaxy Nexus, I can't reproduce this bug using the stock keyboard, but I can reproduce (something like) it with the Swype Beta keyboard.

I suspected this might be a regression from bug 747629 (Nightly 18.0a1 2012-09-28), but I can reproduce this problem with Swype Beta keyboard in earlier builds.

Ah. I'm using swiftkey3 on a Galaxy Nexus running 4.1.1.

I confirm that using the default keyboard fixes the issue.
