Using build 2001050808, on Linux Redhat Steps: 1. Open sidebar, search. 2. In the Search field, type in "Renard Blanc" (without the quotes). Notice where the results are displayed. 2. In the search sidebar, type "White Fox" (without the quotes). Notice what happens. On my machine, only the english search produced results in both window panes. The frnech search displayed results only in the right window pane. I'm using Google as the search engine, through the Netscape search: http://search.netscape.com/google.tmpl?search=Renard+Blanc (This bug might have something to do with profiles, as mentioned in bug 73238, but I thought it was different enough to be mentioned here.)
Can anyone confirm this bug, please? This functionality is very important to us. Thank you!
Strangely, if you switch to Google, it works. But Netscape (the default) fails. Here's our workaround (limited): 1. Open the sidebar (F9), Open the Search tab. 2. Click on "All Engines" button, Select "Edit Categories". 3. Select "Google", then "Add". OK. 4. In the list of Search Engines, check "Google" Perform a search on "Renard Blanc". The results now display in both panes: left and right. However, "Renard Blanc" still produces no results in the left pane when using Netscape search engine.
Marking NEW.

this is a server issue. Netscape is using a new search server which is double escaping. they are fixing it.
