Proxy authentication forgets authentication name and password

I am using a proxy server/firewall which requires authentication. Othen mozilla
forgets my name and password and reprompts be to authenticate with the firewall.
In particular it happens when I type an URL in or submit a form. Generally when
I click on links it is ok.
Remembered the firewall ID and password from the initial authentication.
Netscape 4.7 does this as does Explorer
I have the Password Manager remember my password and id. this does not crash the
machine but make using Mozilla very annoying.

Reporter what proxy are you using? And what build id? How long has this been
going on for?
sounds like dup of bug 77822, but that is suppost to be a dup of another bug...
I was trying to located and dupe all the older versions of this bug, so leave it
to me to find it.
It should be fixed in newer builds, I for one, do not see it in Mozilla 0.9 or
later.
