Hi Tara,

We will be kicking off the Firefox OS Dogfooding Program soon.

We wanted to have a couple of incentive goodies for employees who signed up for the Dogfooding program including Welcome Postcard, Stickers, Tshirt.

- Welcome Postcard
* This will be sent to employees who signed up for the program
* The post card will include quick tips and tricks and resources on Firefox OS Dogfooding
* It doesn't have to be super fancy, I was thinking sandstone background, Firefox OS logo on the left hand side and the copy on the right hand side, but I will leave the creative designing process to you and your team.
* Copy: We are still working on the copy and links that will be put on the post card. I will updated the bug with the copy once we have it.
* Timeframe: Do you think we can get something by early next week?

- Stickers
* We also plan to send stickers to the the program participants - badge of being a Firefox OS Test Driver
* Design: Can also be pretty simple like using the Firefox OS logo but definitely open to other options as well.
* Copy: Copy can just say "Firefox OS Test Driver" but also open to Matej's suggestions
* TimeFrame: 2 weeks

- T-Shirt
* This will also only be given to program participants
* Design & Copy: Depending on the design of the sticker, we can either use a similar treatment for the tshirt.
Timeframe: 3 weeks

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks!
Here's more direction for the Welcome Postcard, which is given to Test Drivers participants when they receive their phones.

- Timing: Would it be possible to have design and copy by 10/9? I realize this is pretty quick turnaround, but the card will probably use existing assets.
- Dimensions: 4x6" to be used on a printed postcard

- Really positive headline (eg: Hooray! You’re splendid!)

- A few lines with these messages:
* Welcoming them as a Test Driver
* Letting them know how important their role is in shaping Firefox OS.
* They’re doing more than just using a phone. They are helping to make Firefox OS great.
* Get ready for fun activities and surprises soon

- Call to action:
* “Get started at mzl.la/FirefoxOSTestDrivers”
* Just to give more context for this bug, this page includes tutorials, testing tasks and how to contact a Test Driver Ambassador for help
Handing this off to Lee. and cc-ing Matej. Grace I have some questions below:

Thanks, is there a copy bug or are you looking to provide copy drafts here for matej to massage? I'm cc-ing him to the bug just in case.

I guess that depends on when the copy is finalized since that will impact design and layout. If you have a rough sense of what the card would say, that would definitely help.

Should be fairly straightforward. We can rely on the FF OS visual identity and apply some design accents and turn it into a nice badge. Lee is good with that, we also have done several designs like this in the past that we can take inspiration from if needed.

How big do you want these stickers to be? and what are they intended to be used for? (laptop?) I think we can keep it pretty standard. I'll let Lee determine the best size (and shape). But keeping copy minimal is definitely best.

2 weeks to deliver design files, right?

Looking to provide copy in this bug and there's direction in comment 1. Matej, let me know if you need anything else or want to chat.

Yes, intended to be used on laptops so our standard sticker size (around 3") makes sense.

Correct

Correct.
Hi all. This looks good to me, the only thing that concerns me is the timing. Monday is a holiday in Canada and Tuesday I need to get the newsletter done, so the earliest I could get to this would be Wednesday morning. If all goes well, I could have copy ready first thing in the morning Pacific, but I'd rather say lunch to be on the safe side. Would that still work?

As for messaging, do we want to add any concrete steps to follow or tips? If not, the direction in comment 1 should be enough.

Also, regarding the sticker, is this different than these stickers that were already designed and printed? http://cl.ly/image/2k0I0U0L3S1k

I was chatting with Sean about these and he's going to comment as well.
Is this all going to be based on the stickers we produced for the program? I think it should be. If that is the case, there is actually two branding avenues - internal and external program:

When it comes to a tshirt, there have been sensitivities around the B2G/FxOS brand and we're still in a bug about it, with Gary on signoff.

I'm assuming it may impact this project as well.

FYI.
Another thing to take into account is we don't want to show actual Firefox OS branding as this isn't a final build. That's why we're using Test Pilot.
Thanks Sean. I haven't really been involved in the FFOS branding discussions so I can't really speak to it. who would be the person that can help answer these questions / guide us along? John, can you help?

William, is your timing flexible?
Yeah, the more I think about this the more I think we need to step back and talk about it before we get started.

- as Sean noted, we had started working on a FxOS t-shirt, but never found a design that worked for Gary, who was personally involved in the reviews and has very strong feelings about how FxOS stuff should look
- we don't have the FxOS visual ID yet, but should have it reasonably soon
- my understanding is that Lukas isn't fully looped in (but should be)
- timing is tight, as noted by Matej

With all that in mind, can we have a meeting or some discussion on this before we start? Doesn't feel to me like things are quite ready for us to go yet.
Outdated / Outstanding bug - closing out.
Please ping / re-open as needed. Thanks!
