More than once, I wished it was possible to somehow be able to do try incremental builds. (related bug: bug 464335)
Doing so on try is probably a hard problem, but something that came to my mind this morning is that it could be possible to (ab)use a disposable project branch, and to limit it to a set of specific platforms and/or slaves.

Do you want this for build speed, or to test that you haven't busted incremental builds with some build system changes?

It seems like it wouldn't be too terrible to (optionally) add a build step before applying the patch queue, right?
