RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 729648

People

(Reporter: rober, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0.1
Build ID: 20120905151427

Steps to reproduce:

I opened the Add-On Manager information for Lightning...

Actual results:

a) Info text speaks about Lightning 1.2.3 (for Thunderbird 10). The actual Lightning version is 1.7 (or 1.8 - which is not officially released yet) and Thunderbird is at version 15.0.1 today.

-> Could the version-information please simply be removed? It causes confusion and does not help (since it's plainly wrong now).

b) The "Homepage" link on the same information page leads to a dead page (404):
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/releases/lightning1.7.html

-> Could this please be updated to link to a working and permanent place?

Expected results:

Got sad and confused reading the version information.
Clicked on the homepage link. Got a 404 error page. Sobbed a little. Then asked Google for help.

Finally found:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/lightning/versions/

Not too bad, but still unable to locate an easy to find/read/understand change-log that would list issues fixed from 1.7 to 1.8 for example. :-(
