Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:0.9) Gecko/20010505 BuildID: 2001050518 Very often I have multiple windows that are almost full-screen size. Clicking on the border or chrome of a background window draws the window outline (as if I were resizing it) but after releasing the mouse the window stays in the background; I can't activate a window by clicking on the chrome. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open window A 2. Open window B 3. Click on frame border (or resize box, window chrome) of A Actual Results: Border of window A appears while mouse is down, but disappears when mouse is released. Window B remains frontmost Expected Results: Window A should become frontmost.

Sounds the same as bug 78364 (which, if you keep reading past the initial reports, was equally fitfully reproducible). Given that difficulty, I'm going to close this one as a duplicate. The good news is, we have a fix for that one. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 78364 ***
