Thunderbird Trunk Daily 20121007 and Lightning Trunk 20121007, Windows XP SP3 32 bit There is some free space on the right side of an event in day and week view, just like a gap, and the event doesn't fill the full available width. This look worse in week view than in day view because of the smaller column width. At first I thought the space is reserved for category or alarm labels, but adding them didn't change the event's width. Steps to reproduce: 1. Switch to Week view. 2. Create an event for a day in view, set the duration to 1 hour. Actual result: Gap, see screenshot Expected result: Event has equal margin on all four sides.
My proposal is instead of the 5px margin on the right, to give on both sides a margin of 1px. A margin of 0px would make the drop shadow almost invisible when the event is selected. Naturally this needs also the same change for rotated view.

If I remember correctly the space was added on purpose to still allow creating events using mouse drag and drop although an event is already displayed.
Ah, okay then this bug should be INVALID or WONTFIXed?
WONTFIX, I think. Sorry, drag creation didn't work before because I had a broken selected.
