Before the redesign we displayed two values for threads on the thread listing page: 1. "Me too" votes a thread got in total 2. "Me too" votes a thread got that week. Today we are only showing the total values. Bram, could you please provide a mockup for the thread listing page that takes the votes this week into account? I'd suggest that the votes per week are emphesized over total votes.

Thanks for the note. I’ve been designing a bunch of new mobile pages today, and will get on this on Monday.

this mockup displays the # of votes for that week alongside the # of votes overtime. It doesn’t give priority to either, but note how the spacing aligns nicely here.

In this mockup, the # of new votes for the week is emphasized with a larger type size. The only issue I see with this is that displaying 3 and 4-digit numbers might be tricky. Do we typically get more than 99 “I have this problem, too” reports per week for a critical problem?

Thanks a lot for the mockups, Bram! I talked to Michelle, who is one of the primary users of this feature. Her preference is the second option with the weekly numbers being emphasized as that makes it easier to scan a whole page for those numbers. Bram, to answer your question, yes, it happens, and we should make sure to provide enough room for 3 digit numbers. There is no need for a 4 digit number though, I don't think we ever had such a thing.

I stand corrected, we did have 4 digit numbers with the Flash issue earlier this year. So, if it fits, let's go with 4 digits or something like 999+.

This is weird, I could swear I already wrote an answer to this :/ I guess I posted to another bug. Anyway, I talked to Michelle, who is one of the major users of this feature and she prefers the large "this week" number, because that makes it easier for her to scan number on a page quickly. So, unless there is an issue with that, let's use the large numbers.
