Netscape Communicator uses CTRL+O.
Internet Explorer uses CTRL+L.
Mozilla used CTRL+L. It was fine. Then it was changed to CTRL+SHIFT+L. Where did
that SHIFT came from anyway? I don't like it at all, I use CTRL+L and +O all the
time, now I have one more diferent shortcut? It was supposed to be a shortcut,
but it's becoming a long road.
Why it changed? Can it change back? Can that be an user option?
Marcos.

Summary: CTRL+?SHIFT?+L to open location? → CTRL+SHIFT+L to open location; (switch back to accel-L?)
ctrl+l goes to the address bar. I think we should probably map ctrl+l to open
location if address bar is hidden. But this bug is a dupe.
Whiteboard: DUPEME
When you type an address in the location bar, it get's logged, in the location
bar's pulldown menu. I use CTRL+L to avoid log the site there, I only type in
the location bar sites that are most used. That's my main use of the open
location dialog. Since open location dialog is a very very old feature, and
"shortcut to location bar" is new, give it a new shortcut, CTRL+SHIFT+L, or
something else, but don't change and old behavior. That's my opinion.
please don't comment here since when it gets duped [i have to go to class so i
can't dig for the dupe] your comments will be lost =).
The urlbar widget is now used in both and relies on history, so what you're
trying to do won't work at all :)
