800370 - When entering passwords, I have to wait until the characters turn into stars before entering the next letter

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/22.0.1229.92 Safari/537.4

Steps to reproduce:

Using SwiftKey 3 as default keyboard, I enter my password on any login page.


Actual results:

If I try to rapidly enter my password, the characters are entered out of order. If I wait for each character to turn into a star (*) before entering the next character, the characters are in the correct order. It appears as though the cursor doesn't move to the end until AFTER the character turns into a star. 


Expected results:

Regardless of how quickly I enter my password, the characters should not be out of order.

Assuming this is no problem using the Android default keyboard?

Is this another regression with SwiftKey 3?

I tried with the sense keyboard on my evo 3d and there I no problem. Only with SwiftKey 3. I don't have the issue using Chrome, sense browser, or dolphin browser, however.

This sounds like an IME race condition, probably related to bug 769520.
