I think it is a good idea to celebrate Firefox 18's release in the first week of 2013 by making some small changes to the branding elements. Some other large software such as The Bat!, PHP 4 do this or did this.

Thanks Timur, and Winston. May I ask what you had in mind here, or can you share references of others who have done something similar? I don't think we'd be looking to change the branding elements, but perhaps there are ways to capture the spirit of the new year in some of our communications through copy/design - such as snippets.
New Year has come and gone, we can reopen if the idea still sounds good for the next year.
