Step to reproduce
0) Have Firefox release and Firefox from another channel (like Aurora)
1) start Firefox release
2) close it
3) get offline
4) start Firefox Aurora

Actual result:
The add-on checker seems to take forever to verify add-on compatibility (because there is no network I assume)

Expected result:
Display a message to say add-on compat cannot be perform because the computer is offline and let the user choose which add-ons are fine or maybe propose an add-onless mode, but in any case, provide an option which allows to move quickly to Firefox
Obviously, the problem also occurs for regular users when they have received an update, but are offline.
