Details
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:0.9) Gecko/20010505
BuildID: 2001050515
I go to this page served by apache, say, http://foo.bar/someDirectory I leave
out the trailing slash (/) character. The web server comes back with "301 Moved
Permanently" giving a modified URL *with* the trailing slash. Mozilla is unable
to handle this and complains "foo.bar not found. Check the name and try again"
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect to a web server that send 301 redirects for URLs that need trailing
slahes
2. Watch Mozilla throw a DNS error

Worksforme in 05/06 and 05/14 builds on Win98 at
http://www.squarefree.com/bookmarkelts. Does this only happen for you at a
specific site, or does it happen with all 301 redirects?

Discovered problems with the server. Mozilla is okay! The URL where the server
redirected mozilla was not okay.
Thanks. BTW, the URL you gave in your comments throws a 404, not a 301

Oops, that's a 404 because I accidentally switched the 'e' and the 'l' at the
end.
