802100 - Bug 539356 breaks gif animations

Steps to reproduce:

Open a website where you can see some animated gifs. E.g. http://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=9499832&postcount=11219
Now click on Bookmarks (Menu Bar enabled) and hover up/down fast with your mouse without clicking on one of your bookmarks. I have 23 Folders there. So a quite big list of folders.


Actual results:

As soon as you start to hover up/down over the list of folders the gifs on the webpage stop to animate. After a certain time the gifs break completely and start to stutter/hang/lag. Only a restart fixes this until the bug strikes again.


Expected results:

1) Gifs should not stop to animate when hovering over bookmark folders
2) Gifs should not start to stutter/hang/lag but animate correctly

I'm not 100% sure that it's caused by bug 539356, but I don't see any other bug in this pushlog that could cause such issues.

After I right click on the animation gif and highlight a menuitem, the animation completely stop til mouse out from context menu.
Str:
1. Open URL http://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=9499832&postcount=11219
2. Right click on the animation gif to pop up context menu.
3. Highlight a menuitem by mouse
    --- observe animation

4. Choose "Copy Image" and do not move mouse pointer
    --- observe animation

Actual Results:
  the animation completely stop

This bug goes further than the discription in bug 801784, as it messes up all gif animations on all webpages until a browser restart. This should also be considered in bug 801784.
