If you have Ghostery installed and enabled, search on MDN's wiki doesn't work.

It works fine if you tell Ghostery to just allow the Google AJAX Search API.

So Ghostery blocks the search API? This doesn't sound like an MDN bug then, but an intentional design decision in Ghostery.

Right. Ghostery is doing exactly what it's supposed to do - blocking Google. We have other bugs for changing MDN search to Elastic Search.

And FWIW, Ghostery users will be able to use search once we switch to Elastic Search (bug 839214).
