Details
I'm running the latest Firefox stable build, which is at the moment Firefox 16. According to MozTrap, I should be able to choose PDF.js as an option to open PDF files. There is no option, just ones for Acrobat and Reader.

As far as I know, pdf.js is intentionally disabled in 16. If you want to try it anyway, either use the add-on, or set pdfjs.disabled to False in about:config
Yes, you have to enable manually the PDF viewer in about:config to use it in FF16.

Instead of editing about:config, install the extension from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/pdfjs/ . As it was said, pdf.js is intentionally disabled in 15/16/17.
