Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0
Build ID: 20121010144125
Steps to reproduce:
Under Win 7 x64 Pro: I had a browser window opened with multiple tabs. I dragged one of them to the desktop and a new window was created.
Actual results:
The tab still existed in the original window. Furthermore, the tab in the original window could not be closed and when I typed a a search into the google toolbar in the new window, the results showed up in the original window. I exited the browser and tried this again, and the same thing happened. This behavior is new to FF16 - under FF15 this did not occur.
Expected results:
The tab should have been completely removed from the original window.
Please, could you try the basic troubleshooting steps:
1) Safe mode: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
2) New profile: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
The culprit is maybe an incompatible extension. Does it fix your issue?
