Actual results:

When I reply to a mail from my IMAP accounts, after a few seconds, the status of the message in the Inbox becomes "Read" and the small blue arrow disappears.

Everything happens normally for the forwarded messages and for my POP3 account.

Expected results:

It's not a big deal, but the status and the arrow are very useful.
Can we get an imap log to see what's going on between Thunderbird and your imap server ? (https://wiki.mozilla.org/MailNews:Logging)

per bug 667950 comment 2 "we require that the server support the built-in flags that the IMAP RFC mandates (which includes \answered, but not forwarded, I don't think)"

I don't see answered flag in protocol log, do you?

Philippe, can you still reproduce this?

Flags: needinfo?(rsx11m.pub) → needinfo?(philippe.leunen)

Works for me on IMAP. Reply to unread msg and msg remains unread and see "small blue arrow". Probably a flag problem on the server like you stated.

reporter is gone, so => incmplete
