Unfortunately the code which prevents Marketplace apps being installed on desktop Firefox also prevents apps being installed on desktop builds of B2G.

This makes developing features around app installation for B2G rather tricky, given that the magic bookmarklet won't work on B2G Desktop.
Ben, I'm thinking about adding an account pref to enable desktop installation as experimental, since I'm sick of the bookmarklet already :)

This might at the root be a B2G Desktop issue- my guess is they are mis-reporting the user-agent and some other properties we're using to fingerprint Gaia.
