This is to take down dev-stage01 and align its disks, a multi-hour process. Hoping to make this coresident with the Sunday tree closure.
from irc w/callek, both he and gcox believe this last minute addition will not impact the planned downtime work tomorrow (Sunday), so I'm flagging as ok to proceed. I've cc'd Ravi, who was primary person asking for tomorrow's downtime, and has the most at stake tomorrow. gcox: if your planned work in any way disrupts/impacts Ravi's work, then you should defer and we'll get you another separate downtime later, ok?
Flags: needs-treeclosure+
This needs ESX to filer connectivity, so we aren't going through the cores for what this needs, so I'm pretty sure I'm out of the way. But, yeah, if needs be I'll defer. This is a target of opportunity.
Alignment finished. Booted back, logged in and saw that the disk was found. Unrelated to the realignment, that disk is at 100% usage, just as a bugmail FYI. Thanks so much for letting me ride along and get this fixed.
