Sometimes, subjects start with uppercase, sometimes with lowercase. This should be consistent. E.g. message-search-input.placeholder=Search Mail message-search-cancel-accessible=cancel search messages-syncing=Loading messages messages-sync-more=Load more messages from server messages-folder-empty=No Mail in this Folder messages-folder-select=Select folder message-contact-menu-view=View contact "No Mail in this Folder" has two subjects starting with uppercase and Mail is here not the name of the app.

Still not fixed as I can still reproduce this bug [UX-P3] Though the strings are inconsistant the app is still usable. However should be a simple fix with low risk, therefore we should be able to do this for V1.

This was fixed by bug 812977 with this commit: https://github.com/mozilla-b2g/gaia/pull/6485/files It's very possible things are inconsistent, but since Matej did a fix-up pass and he is the king of strings and we don't have a formal style guide (like Strunk & White, etc.), I think we should close this until someone provides an explicit list of required changes or UX provides rules/links to rules.

(In reply to Andrew Sutherland (:asuth) from comment #3) > This was fixed by bug 812977 with this commit: > https://github.com/mozilla-b2g/gaia/pull/6485/files > > It's very possible things are inconsistent, but since Matej did a fix-up > pass and he is the king of strings and we don't have a formal style guide > (like Strunk & White, etc.), I think we should close this until someone > provides an explicit list of required changes or UX provides rules/links to > rules. Agreed Andrew. Any guidance on this should come from Visual Design not Interaction Design as they drive detail on Font style / treatment etc. Therefore I am going to contact Steve (visual design lead) to provide a PoV on the matter. We will open up a new bug (referencing this one) if he or a member of his team provides the necessary detail.

The casing for the text in email's subject line is now being displayed correctly. Checked on Build 20130114073222 on 1/14/13.
