User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:17.0) Gecko/17.0 Firefox/17.0
Build ID: 20121017073013

Steps to reproduce:

Installed an Add-on, Restarted Firefox Beta

Actual results:

Firefox Beta Closes and Opens again, Social API asks to log in. I log in to Facebook but the messenger is still stuck to the "Log in" landing page.

Expected results:

SOCIAL API should have already started after logging in.
Actual Results additional info: If I click on the Log In button it just of course redirects me to Facebook and the sidebar is still stuck on that page

Kemuel: what do you mean by "Installed an Add-on"?

Could you also check what do you see when you click on the Facebook icon in the toolbar? Does it say that you're logged in or not? What about the other 3 icons (friends, msgs, notifications)?
I installed an Add-on that ask Firefox to restart :) probably this is the problem restarting Firefox Beta,

as of now as I checked it again, the API logs in but the 3 icons you mentioned does not display anything. just blank boxes. the facebook icons shows im logged in
Attached image Social API icons.
Icons does not show anything. I tried waiting for 5 minutes still nothing appeared.
I'm currently having the same issue.
Indeed the login of the social app is laggy a bit after facebook login, but this should never happen.
Its intermittent anyhow, but we need to see where do we get stuck. Confirming for now since this is reproducible for 3 users

I'm re-summarizing this so that it reflects what I think the main issue being reported is. The screenshot in comment 4 seems like an unrelated issue (notification panel fails to load), which should probably be filed separately.
Summary: SOCIAL API stuck on log in → After restarting Firefox and logging in to Facebook, social sidebar takes a while to detect log in
Vlad, can you please file a new bug describing your issue with the notification panel? Thanks.
