I'm seeing this on win2ksp1 build 2001051120. This is hard to explain. Running bonsai queries like "New Checkins" is displaying partial (and mangaled at the end) results. I know from the tinderbox screen there have been more checkins. If I run a "checkins in last 36 hour query" I get a screen with no checkins shown. If I view source only see what is on the screen which is why I think this is a networking problem. In IE however the pages are returned correctly and in full which makes me think this is not a Bonsai problem. Finally, when fiddling with the queries repeatedly (5-10 times) mozilla is periodically crashing. Talkbacks: TB30353440Y and TB30353296M
Asa: Could you please pull the stack traces?
Just got a crash when trying to "View Source" the checkins in last 36 hours query (see URL). It was with build 2001051208. Talkback: TB30353912W
This may sound odd, but the way in which mozilla crashes for this bug seems identical to the way it has crashed for me a couple times on some bugzilla queries. The bugzilla queries were simple "show me bug id X" and I've had two crashes so far. These may be related. Talkbacks: TB30354071E and TB30355451K
As of 12:55PM PDT the crash has become 100% reproducible on build 2001051208 by clicking the "New Checkins" link on http://www.mozilla.org However, I saved the resultant page off using IE and mozilla can open it from a file fine. In case five talkbacks weren't enough, here is another: TB30355925W
i think this might be a dup of bug 80457

The hangs/crashes on viewing the bonsai pages are indeed a dup of bug 80457, however the corrupted data is not -- unless that is data is being corrupted and immediately crashing/hanging the browser, one causing the other so-to-speak. CC darin for him to take a look. A day or two ago, I clicked 'Back' to return to the bonsai "Today's checkins" page and found that I actually got a whole lot more checkins than expected. I got "Today's Checkins", then the normal page footer, then I got (presumably from the disk cache) the "Today's Checkins" page which was valid for the previous day which included jst's XPCDOM landing. It proved to be a mighty big page indeed. Oh, and Plat/OS All/All...

I am marking this as a dupe of bug 80457. James Green: I agree that the crashing is totally a duplicate of 80457. Since David Baron remarked that the proposed patch fixes the crash aspect but not the associated incomplete page returns, I feel confident that particular aspect is also being addressed in that bug. If it turns out that the incomplete page return will not be considered (and fixed as) part of 80457 than it would be better to file a new (clearly focused) bug report on that aspect rather than continue to use this overloaded symptom bug report. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 80457 ***
