Details

The message display font appears to default to Helvetica 4 point (very, very
small). I have overridden this so messages are displayed in "fixed width" at 11
point, which is set to lfp-trachtenburg.

The only way to increase the readability of the messages is to use the "View |
Text Size | 200%" option, which still renders in sans-serif.

I have verified that lfp-trachtenburg is a valid font and use it in other
applications.
Reporter what build id are you using? And is this still a problem?
Summary: Message display font not accepting changes → Message display font not accepting changes
I'm running 0.9.1, which ever build is from the Ximian RPM.

The small print problem went away as soon as I switched to the Modern theme, but
it is still stuck using Courier for a font (and not the selected Trachtenburg).
Reporter, what are your font settings (e.g., face, DPI)? Can you still reproduce
on 0.9.2? Is the message in question plain text or HTML? If HTML, does it
include any FONT tags that might be intentionally casuing the text to be small?
(View/Message Source.)
I forgot to report the change to this bug, sorry.

With 0.9.2, the monospace font from the prefs panel is being used appropriately
for message display and in text boxes on webforms. I use plaintext only for
email, though the HTML composer also shows fonts properly now.
