805365 - erro message on winxp: "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible"

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR 3.5.30729)

Steps to reproduce:

when i try to run firefox, immediately get an error: "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." then firefox exits

Already tryed to delete all %userprofile%\dati applicazioni\mozilla and %userprofile%\impostazioni locali\dati applicazioni\mozilla folders, but no changes.

I tryed also to uninstall, delete all entry of "firefox" in windows registry and reinstall firefox. Don't work.

The problem appears only on 1 pc where i have vnc for remote access and testing if you need to debug.


Actual results:

when i try to run firefox, immediately get an error: "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." then firefox exits

i solved with a rm -rf of c:\document and settings\username and relogin with that user on winxp.
Seem a user profile problem, not a firefox bug.
