Thanks Carmen, will this include an article on the social api feature w/facebook? if so I'm assuming Chelsea is already on it - but please be sure to keep us posted on that and tie it to the social api campaign tracking bug when it's ready.
Thanks Tara - yes, I opened these bugs yesterday for Chelsea to put in her tracking spreadsheet. Since we will have a 1-off email on Social API on Dec 4, I'm sure social API will be mentioned, but more in a feature-type way, rather than a product-announcement type way. The theme for the December email is "a look back at 2012."

Hi team! Here's the direction for the December email graphics. Due: Dec. 7 (Add-ons TK) *Note, for the feature stories, please do not include a border on the image. For themes and add-ons, include a border. Intro: 125x125 Calendar image, being created in bug 807029 Feature 1 - 12 Best Add-ons of 2012 - Add-ons toolbox 125x125 (we have this already, I believe.) Feature 2 - Approved graphic for Facebook Messenger for Firefox. (I proposed a 125x125 cropped in version of the Etsy fox hat UI shot - cropped into the Jewels. Feature 3 - Best Android tools of 2012 - 125x125 image being created in bug 807029 as well Feature 4 - Foundation EOY ask - graphic TK from Foundation - no need to do anything here Feature 5 - 300x150 crop of whatever desktop wallpaper the creative team does for bug 798424 Themes: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/aqua-shooting-star-shine/ https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/crystal-snowflakes/ https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/golden-stars/ Add-ons still TK

Thanks Tara - yes, as of Friday, we have pulled the Social API. So Feature #2 graphic is no longer needed. Deadline does need to remain Dec. 7 if we can do it.

Thanks Monique - looks good, except I think we're missing the pick of the month add-on without the pick of the month symbol on it ( I think we need one with, and one without.) Which I forgot to include in the instructions this month.

Hi Jessilyn, The calendar image (& the Droid one) was something I created for the bug mentioned in comment 3. The image you attached was the old version that I updated to match more of the current look and feel. Maybe others can chime in and let me know if I should change? Would be glad to crete another but just wanted to confirm before doing it. Thanks, Monique
I think the main issue we have is that it's not aligned well with our intro content. The intro references the best add-ons of 2012. The image of the calendar feels strange next to the add-ons headline. Is there a way we can tie 2012 into add-ons?
ps - the images look great! This was something we realized once we saw it laid out.
So are we good or redo? Just wanted to clarify. Monique
Oops - sorry. That was confusing feedback. It'd be great to do one more pass for the intro that ties into the theme a little more.. "best of 2012". I think when Jess looked at the calendar image compared to the others in the article, it didn't look quite as exciting. Tara - any thoughts on how we might pump that up a bit?
Could you send me a screen shot of what it looks like in the layout?

Hey Monique - here's the full HTML of the EN newsletter so far. Carmen and I updated some of the images so that we weren't showcasing the same images from last month's newsletter (ie the addons) - and there was a new Android image to use. The intro calendar image seems a little flat for a 3d looking image compared to the other images (except for the "join mozilla" completely flat image).

Just was wondering why the calendar image is so blurry??? I should have an updated graphic for you today...
Hey Monique - I think it was blurry b/c I had re-sized it in Photoshop to make it a little bigger (130x130) to better fill the space. The image looked too small for the intro text. See attachment with the screenshot of using the current 125x125 image. I'd still love to see a different intro image that you're cooking up to match the others. Keep us posted. We'd like to wrap this up by EOD today if possible. Thanks!
there is also a 140x140 version of the graphic so it's best to start out larger and reduce if needed.
Thanks Monique. We can definitely try the 140x140; however, I think we'd like to see a different into image as well in hopes of having an image that better fits the 3d style of the other images and really helps make the intro pop.
