This is a smoke test blocker

If the culprit isn't clear, please start backing patches out in reverse order until data works again.

I don't think this is actually resolved (or, it's regressed) -- see bug 809647. (the first comment there sounds like it works after a delay, but as I noted in bug 809647 comment 1, it just never works at all for me)
