I can not be positive that this bug occurs on every site, but on Google Drive and Gmail, it does occur. To Reproduce: Go to some site. It doesn't matter, just not a new tab page. Log into your Gmail account. Type: drive.google.com into the URL bar. "You will see that Google redirects you many times." Once you are in the drive, try going back. It will take you to a redirect page and then send you forward again. ===== There seems to be no way to go back. The Mozilla Engine should know about these redirects and send you to the page preceding the first redirect.

I just realized it doesn't seem to happen all the time. I will try to figure out the exact way to reproduce the bug.

Okay. I got it. First of all, on gmail the bug is not a major. You must simply press the back button twice to get to the previous page. As for Google Drive, I was partly wrong. You need to go to Google Docs, which will then redirect you to Google Drive. I will put the correct way to reproduce below. To Reproduce: Go to some site. It doesn't matter, just not a new tab page. Log into your Gmail account. Type: docs.google.com into the URL bar. "You will see that Google redirects you many times." Once you are in the drive, try going back. It will take you to a redirect page and then send you forward again. =====

The gmail error occurs even on the current version of Firefox. The docs/drive error occurs only on Firefox 19.

(In reply to Ioana Budnar [QA] from comment #4) > Does this issue reproduce with a clean profile or in safe mode? > http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile > http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Ioana - have you tried reproducing? We won't track this for a specific release, but we should at least confirm and get the necko team's eyes on.

I couldn't manage to reproduce this issue. Since the bug was logged 9 years ago, most likely isn't reproducible anymore for the reporter also.
