Description: Finding words using PDF Viewer in Firefox 18 causes the searched word to appear with increased font size and shifted placement. In some cases, the shift is extremely off such that preceding words are blocked and the supposed word is still seen as unhighlighted. Build ID: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:18.0) Gecko/18.0 Firefox/18.0 OS: Windows 7 x64 Steps to reproduce: 1. Open http://developer.amd.com/assets/43009_sb7xx_rrg_pub_1.00.pdf in Aurora 2. Change to page 245 and maintain zoom level as Automatic Zoom without navigational panel visible 3. Press ctrl-f to search for "enable" without the quotation marks Actual results: The first instance of "enable" has increased font size, and is slightly shifted out of place into the next column of the table. The second instance of "enable" has increased font size, and is completely shifted out of place. The third instance of "enable" also has the same problem. Expected results: The found word should be highlighted with no increase in font size, and no shift in placement.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0 Build ID: 20130212082553 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:21.0) Gecko/20130213 Firefox/21.0 Build ID: 20130213031137 I don't see the increased size anymore but the highlight is still shifted

I'm on Mac OS 10.7.5 using Firefox 21 viewing this document: http://arxiv.org/ftp/arxiv/papers/1210/1210.6844.pdf and I see the problem. Search for 'a'. There is frequently no 'a' in the highlighted area and the highlight is tall enough to extend and include text in two lines and a bit too wide as well. With Match Case selected the problem is very clearly shown as there are highlights even off to the right of the text and over the top of illustrations.

Added attachment showing recent occurrence of problem. String "fan-out" is to the right of the highlights and the highlights are too large. I'm using FF version 23 on Mac OS X 10.7.5. Notice I have the viewing mode set to Page Width -- is that what induces the problem maybe?

I've just tried the other viewing modes and the error happens in all viewing modes.

I've just observed the problem again in FF 28. The highlight of the searched for word is now the right size but is shifted right. I've attached a new image.

Works for me with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:97.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/97.0
Michael, can you provide your FF version and OS ?

This is with FF 95.0.2 x64 on Windows 11. But this happened also with earlier versions and Windows 10.
Did you specifically click on this word on this page? Because it's fine in many sections, and worse in others. This line has a lot of white space between words due to block alignment, and this seems to cause the incorrect highlighting.

Probably it was fixed between 95 and 97. Kenan, could you find a fix with mozregression?
