Details

i'm on linux x64 system
i found it when trying to upgrade from previous version
i've came to the download page and all i could download was x32 aurora build, so i've downloaded it unbziped and tryed to work with, on some pages firefox just hangs and nothing happened, i,ve closed it for a few times (i've tried it trhrough terminal and found elf64lib error something), but afterall moved back, then later i wanted to compile x64 source on my own and found ftp with latest builds where i've discovered x64 build, so i've put it in place and found that all works finally well.
SO
as i can debug it i would put an x64 build on the download page too, but moving forward i would check the flash plugin compatibility if it is x32 then i download x32 version if it is x64 then it is, well you can simply check javaVM lib actually, i believe it is much more useful but not sure if this option is provided everywhere.

FF x86 won't start at all on Ubuntu x64 to me.
i think that this is a mixed plugins folder issue, so when you start ffox86 it uses the same x64 plugins that are incompatible, you can check the ftp download area, to get needed version
https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora/
Resolving as wont fix, plugin support deprecated in Firefox 85.
