See bug 805246 comment 9 - 11: The fact that you can copy about:memory is not discoverable.

I feel like adding text to the bottom of about:memory is a cop-out: Nobody reads the instructions, and anyway we've all seen bad websites which laboriously explain how they should be used, when they should be redesigned so such explanation is necessary.

Maybe if we added a copy-to-clipboard button at the bottom, that would be better.  Although we have a lot of buttons down there now...

I'm not using read-from-clipboard (mostly because the memory reports posted to bugzilla tend to be compressed), so I'd be OK getting rid of that in exchange for a copy-to-clipboard button...
"Measure and save..." is now the preferred way to get memory reports (e.g. in bug reports). So copy-and-paste is mostly useful if you just want to get some of the output. A "copy to clipboard" button would only be able to give you all the data. So I don't think there's anything to be done here.
