Build: Nightly 19
Device: Galaxy Nexus
OS: Android 4.1

Steps:

1. Install a web app from marketplace
2. Launch it from the homescreen shortcut
3. Remove the web app with the Android app switcher
4. Click the install success notification for that web app

Expected:

The web app should start up.

Actual:

FF Android comes up instead.
I think this is wont-fix; you've uninstalled the application and the registered information tied to that notification is lost.

What should happen (akin to how Google Play and installations/uninstallations interact) and if feasible, is that on removal of an app, the installation success notification is removed.

No, this has nothing to do with uninstalling the web app. This is talking about killing the web app process.
Ok, I misread #3 as removing the web app.

This is no longer a valid bug given that we disabled the app switcher UI.
