+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #800480 +++

The following URL has jerky animations in today's Nightly 2012-10-30:

http://brendaneich.github.com/Strange-Loop-2012/

I can now move to the next slides, but the animations are jerky and not smooth.

Matt - what's your read on whether this will be an issue across multiple sites? We typically don't track a bug for a single data point like this.

This looks like we're not offloading the animation to the compositor.

Not obvious that this is a DLBI regression, and I don't think it needs to block.

We should definitely fix this though.

Tracking for release at this time . Will consider uplift's based on the risk evaluation. Preferred to have the patch ready earlier to next merge to get good amount of testing on aurora if uplifted.

No major web properties are impacted, and we've got higher priority DLBI regressions to fix. Untracking for release.
