User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0 Build ID: 20121024073032 Steps to reproduce: Since about October 27, 2012 (four days ago), yahoo mail in firefox keeps continuously trying to reload. It happens on both my Mac at home and PC at work. I've cleared cookies and cache and restarted. All other sites are ok (flickr, facebook, etc.) Actual results: Cannot stop spinning wheel in yahoo mail tab "connecting". Expected results: Yahoo mail should stop "connecting".
Does this happen when the "WHAT's NEW" Tab gets loaded after login? Or rather when you load your Inbox? Does it happen when you disable Flash, clear Cache and retry?
In addition, try with a new profile, please: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles I use Yahoo Mail too and I don't meet this issue even if YM got some problems sometimes on its servers.
Works fine for me on the latest Nightly: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:19.0) Gecko/19.0 Firefox/19.0 BuildID:20121105030642 Mary, could you please try the suggestions from Comment 1 and Comment 2 and post back with the results? Thank you.
