This is still valid after updating to 11-01's update.
I'm going to switch to my original phone until this is fixed. I can't do texting anymore as I used to. I send one and I can't see them after.

Wow, this is bug 807745 - 1. Eerie. Your SMS's weren't lost, they just can't be read. I had to decommission my dogfood phone as well pending a fix. The next update will bring everything back.

I think this is supposed to point to bug 807463 - which is now on aurora and will go out in the next stable update.
Upgrading to 11-01 has fixed the issue for me. I have all my texts back.
