Steps to reproduce:
Run firefox when a VPN is not active, and one sync device is unavailable
Actual results:
Sync reports the error as a problem with the account or incorrect password
Expected results:
The error should be that the device is unreachable.

Sorry for the delayed response.
Sync does not use a peer-to-peer protocol. Do you mean that the device syncing can't reach its server?
